You can leave. I have no use for you.
Yes there is unknown before me, but you are slowing me down. You are clouding my judgement. You are keeping me from relishing the graces along my journey. That’s right, I SEE GRACE in this challenge. I see His hand reaching out to me. I feel His peace surrounding me. I know He has a plan for good.
Yes, Fear, there are unknowns, there is even the possibility of some pretty rotten things; but for today I choose to face only what is before me now. I walk along side a powerful God, and He will reveal at the perfect time the next step. If around the next bend there is a mountain, I know that I am able to climb it, because He would never put before me what he wasn’t going to walk me through.
So, Fear, you can leave. Go away. There is no place for you here.
I may not be the strongest or wisest, but I have faith enough to move mountains.
So, get out of my way… because it appears that I have a mountain to climb.
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
Reflection: What mountains are you facing? Do you have a challenge before you? An illness, an argument, an injustice? Do you have forgiveness you need to give, grief you need to face, or anger you need to resolve? Are you ready to leave fear behind and accept the peace?
“One Thing Remains”
Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing… remains
On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never, ever, have to be afraid
This one thing.. remains [2x]
Your love never fails, never gives up never runs out on me [3x]
In death, In life, I’m confident and
Covered by, the power of Your great love
My debt is paid, there’s nothing that
Can separate my heart from Your great love
