The Everyday Missionaries blog began in the hearts and aspirations of Cari and Jeannette, two cousins from Louisiana who share a passion for faith, family, ministry, and all things LIFE! Growing up just a few blocks near each other and among the youngest of twenty-two grandchildren, we share many memories which have shaped our lives and personalities. Our grandmother, Eloise, taught us much about our Catholic faith. She was a founding member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Rita’s Catholic Church Parish in Alexandria and demonstrated to us through her everyday life a faithfulness to the Church, a devotion to God & family, as well a genuine love which we still feel today.
Together we also share a love for good coffee and chocolates, discovering new genres of music and art, and over-thinking most topics! Mostly, we just love to enjoy life and strive daily to appreciate both the little and big aspects of it. We have experienced and witnessed the power of ministries and communities that seek to encourage spiritual growth and outreach. We can testify to the Holy Spirit’s power to breakdown walls, heal the broken and build up “new creations” as mentioned in 2 Corinthians chapter 5.
In our everyday journeys, we have been blessed with friends who have encouraged, challenged, laughed & cried with us. Several of these ladies join us here as “the gals” who contribute to the Everyday Missionaries blog. Click here to meet these amazing women.
This blog is intended to be a community for faith-filled women who feel called to live, do and be more in their everyday lives. Here we pray that you will find encouragement, inspiration & practical ideas to help you grow in the ways that God is asking of you. We all look forward to having you journey with us as we seek to share and more fully understand our call to be Everyday Missionaries!
